sKreamers is ALIVE!
But will you survive? Then take a ride on the wild wagon through the border forest and then stroll through the Side Laboratory and Front Barn. ... but be warned, there are no refunds available. So come enjoy a safe and secure night with us any Friday or Saturday in October.
About sKreamers
sKreamers is the demented and awkward child of the Kiwanis Club of Orleans. While considering fundraising opportunities in and for the community, Mitch Miller and Harley Bloom shared their love for Halloween with the other Club members and the concept of sKreamers was born.
Originally tagged, "The Haunted Hamlet" in 2001, the Gloucester Shopping Center permitted us to convert an empty store into a cute haunted attraction. At $2 admission we entertained enough guests to confirm we were on to something. The following year we were given a much larger space and we definitely caused a bit of a stir. One of our masked actors wandering outside of the bank, scared the staff into almost triggering a silent alarm. Luckily someone in the bank put two and two together and we avoided having another actor arrested...
In only our second year, we were pretty cheap on the props and for makeup we used black shoe polish around our eyes. After an exhausting day at the haunt, one of our actors headed for home and stopped to get gas. He was a bit concerned about the strange looks he was getting but he'd been getting them all day so thought little of it. Resting at home he was surprised to see a Police Car pull into his driveway. The police demanded to know if he had recently got gas. He answered in the affirmative and they asked him how he had paid for it. He showed them his "speed pass" fob. For some reason the police didn't seem to be taking him seriously and loaded him into the cruiser. Arriving back at the gas station, the police brought out the manager who immediately pointed at our guy and started yelling, "That's him! That's the guy!" Of course, now everyone is staring...
It turns out the speed pass hadn't been registered by the pump so our guy apologizes and pays. The police take him home.
Visiting the washroom our guy goes to wash his hands and of course is staring in the mirror at his face with black shoe polish circles around his eyes, and then all the awkwardness of the day made sense.
From Gloucester Center, we moved to Laporte Gardens on Montreal Road where we spooked out the 11,000 sq.ft. building in all its' glory. Unfortunately, the facility was leveled in 2004 and once again we were looking for a home.
It wasn't until 2006 that we found Proulx Farm where we have flourished ever since.

ABOUT SAKE
Sake made its first international debut at the 1872 Vienna International Expo, under the name "Nihonshu". Although sake has been in existence in Japan for over a two thousand years, it’s recent resurgence in the Japanese and international market is partially due to its elegance and versatility when paired with other cuisines. Unlike other alcohols, most sake is produced in small batches at artisanal breweries and is considered craft with many distinct classifications. Kampai Toronto is a rare opportunity to experience the depth and complexity of this culturally significant Japanese beverage and tradition.

Candlelight is a series of concerts held in inspiring locations such as in heritage venues and in cathedrals. This concert held at the Kerrisdale Presbyterian Church in Vancouver, BC, Canada features the music of Anime.
While anime is short for animation, most times when we refer to anime we mean Japanese animation which has its own unique style, artwork, storytelling and cultural nuances. Visual effects and episode lengths of 12 minutes or less are hallmarks of anime. Over the last 40 years anime has become an international phenomenon being translated to many languages and attracting millions of fans.
Music is key to anime and anime can include all genres and styles of music including, rock, jazz, and classical. Music connects people with the storytelling and brings joy to the performance.
There are two performance times on October 1, one at 7PM and one at 9PM, each performance is 60 minutes long and will be held in the glow of candlelight. The performer is the Listeso String Quartet. A list of 17 of the songs that will be performed have been listed on the website, three are: Dragon Ball "Mystical Adventure", Elfen Lied "Lillium", and Naruto "Blue Bird."
TICKETS: are available from the website and range in price from $30 to $60 depending on seating.
This is a good event for families with children over 8. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
